What distinction are you trying to make here? Any system for secure communications will eventually have to connect to some sort of communications network. Are you saying that secure communications with computers is simply impossible?
How come no-one broke into the Bitcoin Piñata (in the other story) then? A networked computer can be confidential. Have you tried not writing your networking code in C?
